During Hispanic Heritage Month this October I had the chance to represent On She Goes at Hispanicize LA, the largest annual event for Latinx creators and journalists in digital, marketing, entertainment, and tech.

It was my first time attending Hispanicize and to be honest I was blown away. Hispanicize LA created a community for Latinx creative professionals like I’d never seen before, providing professional development and networking opportunities for anyone who attended. Unlike other conferences, Hispanicize LA gave entrepreneurs and filmmakers one-on-one access to pitch with brands, influencers, and entertainment industry leaders.

My biggest takeaway from the conference was the culture cultivated by all the attendees and influencers alike. Everyone at Hispanicize LA, from the influencers to the attendees, wanted to make their mark on their industries to lift up the entire Latinx community, and that was really beautiful to experience.

If you are a Latinx content creator, journalist, entrepreneur, or filmmaker, I highly recommend attending Hispanicize LA next year! Tickets should go on sale September 2019, so be sure to mark your calendar.
